Syafrin explained that all OPDs must provide full support for the implementation of the census. Syafrin advised census officials to carry out their duties with a humanistic approach. He believed that good communication would encourage the public to provide honest and open information.
"We really need this census data for future planning," he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the South Jakarta Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Akhmad Fikri, explained that the Economic Census 2026 will take place from June 15 to August 31, 2026, involving 1,527 officers.
According to him, officers will conduct door-to-door data collection by combing business buildings to record business actors and their business activities.
"South Jakarta BPS has prepared officers who are equipped with assignment letters, identification cards, area maps, and official vests so that respondents are confident in the legality of the officers," he explained.
He hopes that all parties, especially the public, will support the implementation of the census because a similar data collection will only be carried out again in 2036.
